Roland Stein appointed as Deputy Director of CELIS Institute

CELIS Institute is an independent non-profit, non-partisan research enterprise dedicated to promoting better regulation of foreign investments in the context of security, public order, and competitiveness. At the forefront of legal research, training, and community building, the Institute is dedicated to driving innovation and addressing the challenges faced by the legal industry, policymakers, and academia in the areas of investment screening and economic security. Fostering research, collaboration, and thought leadership, CELIS Institute plays a vital role in shaping the future of legal practice and policy.

Through its various programmes and initiatives, CELIS Institute provides a platform for legal practitioners, policymakers, academics, and the investment community to exchange and create knowledge, share best practices, and explore cutting-edge research in the field. As Deputy Director, Roland will be excited to promote the Institute’s strategic vision by fostering collaboration between the various stakeholder groups, in particular through CELIS’ flagship conference CFIS, to be held this year in Prague/Czech Republic from 11 to 13 October. In addition, Roland envisages further developing the Institute’s training capacities, especially with regard to governmental authorities. Roland is delighted to join the Institute’s Steering Group of the Board of Directors alongside the CELIS’s Executive Director and Co-Founder, Steffen Hindelang, and Deputy Director Lena Hornkohl.
